Simple Gayatri Puja

Divine Mother Gayatri represents the combined essence of wisdom from three Goddesses: Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati.
This united wisdom manifested as Gaya, which means the Song of Wisdom, and Tri, which means the Three.

Gayatri is a Goddess who represents a divine attitude: the incessant and relentless pursuit of wisdom.

In Vedic literature, She is known as the female expression of the light of the Sun, the Light of Wisdom.

She is revealed in the form of a mantra, called the Gayatri Mantra.

The Gayatri Mantra is the Mula mantra (root mantra), or the primary knowledge of Hindu Dharma, or Sanatana Dharma, which is called the Eternal Ideal of Perfection.

Gayatri is also a meter, 24 syllables to the verse.

Worship and its Benefits

The Gayatri Mantra is a mantra with unlimited spiritual energy and a profound prayer for both personal and universal enlightenment.

The continuous prayer of the Gayatri Mantra grants greater wisdom in every circumstance.

The highest excellence to which man can aspire is this prayer for greater wisdom in every circumstance of life. There is no circumstance in life in which it is inappropriate to pray for greater wisdom.

Worshiping Mother Gayatri and invoking Her presence brings us inner illumination, which affords mental clarity and reveals great Wisdom.

Hindu scriptures constantly advise us to chant the Gayatri Mantra every day at the three sandhya’s (three times of worship – sunrise, noon, and sunset) and to pray for Mother Gayatri’s presence to permeate our lives.
