In this extraordinary video, Swami Satyanada Saraswati conveys the meaning of the Satya Nārāyaṇa Vrat Puja, which will be performed by devotees around the world each month on the Full Moon day.
The word “Satya” means truth and “Nārāyaṇa” is the Manifestation of the All Pervading Consciousness, represented as Lord Vishnu. Maha Vishnu (Maha means “great”) pervades the entire universe – everywhere and everything. In the form of Satya Nārāyaṇa , Lord Vishnu represents the embodiment of Truth.
Therefore, the significance and meaning of the Satya Nārāyaṇa Vrat is the vow to speak and act in Truth, to say what you mean and mean what you say. This is the most important practice for spiritual seekers in the Kali Yuga.
By performing the Satya Nārāyaṇa Vrat Puja in reverence of and gratitude to Lord Vishnu, we reach towards perfection – towards becoming a being of illumination and inspiring divinity by acting in Truth wherever we go, whatever we do.
