Nashik

The new Devi Mandir Ashram in Ghoti Nashik, is about 40 minutes outside of town in the Sahyadri Mountain Range of the Western Ghats in the State of Maharashtra, a few hour’s drive from Mumbai near Igatpuri.

It is an area filled with stories of the Ramayan, and in every direction, we can find Temples and religious centers for Tryambakeshwar Mahadeva, SaptaShrungi Devi, Kapil Muni, Lord Buddha, and Mahavir.

The property is situated at the base of a forested mountain where Ram performed tapasya, covered with waterfalls and caves, and overlooks a lake, which provides water for cities and towns up to Mumbai, so it is completely silent for communion with nature.

So far we have constructed a Vedi for Lord Shiva Napeshwar Mahadeva, a howan kunda to perform his yajna, and a Goshala for our four cows, who are all pregnant. There are also seven acres of land upon which we will construct the new Devi Temple, guest houses for devotees, and other amenities that will make everyone comfortable.

On July 30th, in Igatpuri, Nashik, Maharashtra, Shreemaa and Swamiji established Napeshwar Kailashananda Devalaya.
Napeshwar had been worshipped in Napa, California, USA, for over 40 years by Shreemaa and Swamiji, before it was relocated to Nashik Maharashtra.

During the preparation due to heavy pouring rain, shreemaa and swamiji decided to perform a Yajna Homa for Surya Devata, the sun god, until the establishment day. Despite the rain, devotees and Shreemaa created beautiful Alpanas on the platform where Napeshwar now stands. The puja took place in the morning at around 11:00 am IST, preceded by Swamiji performing the Homa Yajna.

Devotees have visited from worldwide to express their gratitude and offer prayers to Napeshwar Kailashananda Mahadev, participating in the Yajna and Puja of Napeshwar.

Another significant episode from the Ramayana is associated with Panchavati, which is believed to be situated near Nashik. Panchavati is where Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana resided during their exile. It is said to be the forested area where the trio lived before Sita was abducted by Ravana. The famous Shri Kalaram Temple in Nashik is believed to be built at the spot where Lord Rama’s hut stood in Panchavati.
These stories from the Ramayana add to the cultural and mythological significance of Nashik, making it a place of pilgrimage.
That’s why Nashik Maharashtra is a shreemaa place in India.

Arunisha Sengupta’s message upon her initial visitation to the Nashik Temple: Sincere appreciation to ShreemaaOrg108 for this magnificent temple being constructed amidst the beauty of nature. It is a temple built by evolved spirits with the intention of assisting sincere seekers in experiencing a spiritual awakening.
We appreciate everyone’s tireless efforts in assembling this project 🙏.
