Mantra Japa is repeating a mantra over and over again to focus the mind on the deity of worship and the meaning of the mantra.

This practice calms the mind and awakens the power, or shakti, of the mantra inside of us. For example, Lord Ganesha is the remover of life’s obstacles. He bestows wisdom and grants success to those who worship Him.

One mala is equivalent to 108 repetitions of the mantra, and a typical mala will have 108 beads. Choose a mantra from the list below and repeat it in multiples of 108.
