Every Sunday, devotees of the Devi Mandir chant the Chandi Path with Shree Maa and Swamiji. When we reach Chapter 13, Shree Maa asks the congregation to repeat the prayer:

“Oh Divine Mother, Make Us an Instrument of Your Peace. Peace on Earth, Peace in Heaven, Peace, Peace, Peace.”

Shree Maa’s prayer expresses the essence of the devotional prayer originating from Saint Francis of Assisi.

This prayer is not only a list of hopes and wishes from a great bhakta (devotee), but it also outlines the various attitudes and qualities which spiritual aspirants should strive to attain.

These words remind us that, in order to attract love to ourselves, we must first become lovers ourselves; in giving of ourselves completely, we find eternal life.
