How important is to perform sadhana in a place of power such as a
cave, temple, etc. doing it at home is enough? Or if the opportunity appears, should we take advantage and do sadhana in special places?
Power of Sadhana– It has the power to elevate our entire state of being, opens us to receive, and attunes us to a far greater, clearer, and more empowered perspective on reality, our true essence, and how we might approach the challenges of everyday living.
Places of Power, tirthas, caves, temples, etc. have accumulated energy from sadhus having performed their disciplines in these environments. We often think: I am performing the same discipline, in the same place, in the same Bhavana, as other Rishis. You gave them the desired boon. Why would you not give it to me?
Your own home, however comfortable and auspicious as it may be, is filled with attachments that we deem dear to us. That is why we brought them home. It is not the same as being in a tirtha asthan, until we can completely forget where we are. Then it won’t make any difference.
