Serves 3-4
Ingredients
1 cup basmati or other long-grained rice
5 to 6 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup yellow raisins
2-3 drops of rose water
Directions
1. Clean, wash, and drain the rice.
2. Boil the milk. When it reaches boiling point, reduce the heat.
3. Let milk simmer on over low heat until it reduces to 1/2 the original quantity.
4. Add rice and let it cook in the milk.
5. When rice is almost done, add raisins, sugar, cardamom, and rose water.
6. Let everything mix together in the pot.
