Chandi Path Series: Recitation in Sanskrit

The Chandi Path is the recitation of the adventures of She Who Tears Apart Thoughts, and it is the story of our journey to enlightenment. In this class series Swami Satyananda Saraswati chants the Chandi Path in Sanskrit. This series offers a wonderful opportunity to learn the pronunciation and meter of the Sanskrit mantras.

 

Cosmic Puja Series: Recitation in Sanskrit

The Samasti Upasana, or Cosmic Puja, is the meditation and worship of all the forms of Divinity in the universe. It is a technique to move beyond duality.

In this series, Swami Satyananda Saraswati chants the Cosmic Puja in Saskrit. It is a wonderful resource to learn the pronunciation and meter of the mantras.

Chandi Path: Episode 11. The Highest Meaning of the Goddess

This part of the Sanskrit Chandi Path Recitation is Swami chanting the Sri Devyatharvasshirsham, The Highest Meaning of the Goddess, which is also known as the Devi Upanishad. It takes all the unity of the Goddess and explains the Navarna mantra and the Kali Vidya of the Sri Vidya mantra. It also explains the meaning of the bija (seed) mantra hrim.

This podcast series has Swami Satyananda Saraswati chanting the Sanskrit verses of this ancient scripture.

Sundar Kanda Series: Chanting

The Sundar Kanda is the Beautiful Chapter from the Ramayana. It describes how Pure Devotion in the form of a flying monkey (Hanuman) jumps over the ocean of worldliness to find the Pure Nature of Consciousness.

In this series, Shree Maa, Swamiji, and devotees chant the Sundar Kanda in Sanskrit with musical accompaniment and uplifting devotion.

Chandi Path: Episode 12. 9-Lettered Mantra System of Worship

This part of the Sanskrit Chandi Path Recitation is Shree Maa chanting Navarna Vidhih, The System of Worship with the Nine Lettered Mantra. The navarna mantra, Om Aim Hrim Klim Camundayai Vicce, is the moola (root) mantra of the Chandi.

Chandi Path: Episode 13. Chapter 1

This part of the Sanskrit Chandi Path Recitation is Swami chanting the first chapter of the Chandi Path. In this recording Swami chants at a slow place in order to help devotees learn the proper pronunciation and sandhi (breaks) in the verses. In the first chapter Markandeya begins to tell the story of the origins of the Manu known as Savarni, He Who Belongs to All Colors Tribes and Castes.

Chandi Path: Episode 14. Chapter 2

This part of the Sanskrit Chandi Path Recitation is Swami chanting the second chapter of the Chandi Path. Swami chants at a slow place in order to help devotees learn the proper pronunciation and breaks in the verses. Chapter 2 is The Slaying of the Armies of the Great Ego and introduces many of the negative qualities and thoughts we pray to Divine Mother to purify.

Tarpan Viddhi

Navaratri is preceded by Mahaloya, the Great Dissolution, when we dissolve all our attachments to the creation, and in this way dissolve creation itself. Our last act in the old creation is to express our appreciation to our ancestors for preparing such a wonderful path for us. Now we can worship without obstruction for the Festival of Nine Nights.

Chandi Path: Episode 15. Chapter 3

This part of the Sanskrit Chandi Path Recitation is Swami chanting the third chapter of the Chandi Path. Swami chants at a slow place in order to help devotees learn the proper pronunciation and breaks in the verses. In this chapter many more generals in the army of the Great Ego arise and are slain. Ultimately the Divine Mother slays the Great Ego.
