At the Devi Mandir, we have a big Lakṣmī Pūjā on the full moon day of the month of Aśvin, called Śrī Kojagiri Lakṣmī Pūjā. For this day, Shree Maa draws all over the temple floor and havan kuṇḍa beautiful flower patterns and little feet of Mother Divine, and many special offerings are prepared.
We offer different types of juicy sweets – such as sweet potato dumplings soaked in sweet syrup, pudding with ghee and jaggery, and other sweets prepared with jaggery. We also offer green saak (green vegetables) to Mother.
We worship Mother Lakṣmī with her bīja mantra, Oṃ Śrīṃ Lakṣmyai Namaḥ, and pray to Her to clarify our goals and grants us the blessing of peace.
